What You Shouldn’t Buy From a Car Dealer? Find Here

Who wants to damage their car after a few years of purchase? Hence, the market offers a lot of safeguards for your newly bought car. Though you know you cannot avail all the opportunities at one go, you hop on anything that gives warranty of safety for your car.

After consenting to purchase a car from a dealership, you are more likely to be offered with a list of additional options and services you can add-on for additional fees. Some choices, such as extended auto warranties and GAP insurance, are products you may want to consider buying. But, all products are not necessary and worth buying. Here are two things that you shouldn’t buy from a car dealer.

First: Window Engraving

Window etching is a procedure, in which, the dealer will print the vehicle’s VIN number into certain windows or parts of the vehicle. It helps to identify the vehicle if it is stolen away.

But, don’t listen to the suggestions of dealers. The survey shows that this is quite useless process that doesn’t even make the vehicle identifiable in case of theft. Most of the law enforcement doesn’t even look for etching. But, it costs hundreds of dollars for service. You can choose some good automatic key-lock systems to prevent your car from being stolen.

Second: Protection for Corrosion

These days you don’t need paint or fabric protection as cars are coming manufactured with steel and paint. It lasts longer and hold up very well against the environmental elements that cause corrosion.

Dealers will advise you for fresh fabric protection. But, most of the dealers use the same quality fabric from the local markets. You can also buy it from any supermarket.

If you feel to protect the interiors of your car, you can buy a good fabric protector and spray it yourself. Don’t waste your precious money in such useless services which you can do on your own without investing much.
