It all starts when you decide to take a protection policy after you sense a problem in the car, and take it for assessment. If you choose a warranty, the car is fixed at no cost. Also, there is far less paperwork involved in warranty than an insurance claim. But, A basic comprehensive car insurance includes damage to your car while you can avail some additional benefits by paying some extra. These additional benefits are called Add-ons and are optional. Here are some benefits that add-on cover offers:
Insurers offer services like refueling, towing, flat tire replacement, arranging for a mechanic in case of a glitch, and others. Some companies offer these services in their add-on cover while some provide it as base policy. If you don’t have it as base policy, you can opt for the add-on.
This add-on cover offers you compensation for hiring a car on specific days when it breaks down. They can give you from a few dollars to hundreds of dollars. But, the number of days for which allowance is given is not more than 10-15 days as nobody hires an alternative vehicle for so long, neither any repairing takes so long. But, there are term and conditions for such type of car protection policy.
This cover offers compensation for the spending on nut-bolts, screen washers, engine oil, and bearings if your car sees an accident. But, vehicles older than 3 years are not eligible for such type of cover in most cases. But, the key replacement covers offer a compensation in case you misplace the key or lose it.
